“ RARs are a bitch, and VASTLY ILLOGICAL in this context. Movies and other large files are generally split into chunks for Usenet so that one download going to shit doesn\'t bork an entire 700MB+ stream. Torrents are already transferred in \"pieces\" (check that section of your beta BitTorrent client with the custom skin that is completely pointless, yet utterly 1337), and so it\'s not important if one peer fails to deliver a complete chunk.

Your claiming that this AVI in un-RARed form would waste bandwidth just proves how stupid you are. When you downloaded and decompressed it, what happened? Oh, that\'s right: The cumulative RAR file size of 713MB shot ALL THE WAY UP to ... 716MB. That\'s because this (and just about all movies on here) are already compressed. If WinRAR could really compress them much further, then you could be sure that WinRAR would be richer than a shitmonger on sloppy joe night.

I for one was glad that this was RARed so that I could waste all my HDD bandwidth decompressing it for 5 minutes rather than download that extra 3MB at 30mbps. Damn, that extra 2 seconds or so of my life would have been a waste -- the WinRAR progress bar was so much more entertaining. ”

Erst hieß es, die Nacktscanner könnten gar keine Bilder speichern. Dann hieß es, aber wir speichern nichts. Dann hieß es, na gut, in einigen Fällen ist wohl doch was gespeichert worden. Jetzt heißt es, die US Marshals haben insgeheim zehntausende von Nacktbildern gespeichert, und das ist nur ein Checkpoint in einem Gericht in Florida.

Londoner Polizei wurde beim fälschen von CCTV-Videos erwischt

In Großbritanien ist die Londoner Polizei beim fälschen eines CCTV-Beweisvideos erwischt worden: CCTV and police abuse of power. Der Anwalt eines Beschuldigten hatte sich die Originalaufnahmen beschafft und festgestellt, dass diese nicht identisch waren mit denen, die beim Prozess gegen seinen Mandanten verwendet wurden.

More worrying is the way in which CCTV is being used by the police. Demonstrator Jake Smith was charged with two counts of violent disorder. These charges were later dropped when Smith’s solicitor, Matt Foot, viewed the original CCTV footage and discovered that the police video had been edited to show events out of sequence, at one point implying another man was Smith while omitting footage showing Smith being assaulted by a police officer without provocation. Considering the potential for abuse of power, the control that the police have had over the use of CCTV is frightening. Foot warns, “We should be both curious and suspicious about how the police use CCTV footage in these cases.”

Wenn das nicht mal ein weiteres gute Argument gegen die ausufernde Videoüberwachung ist.

“ Zu meinem eigenen Scoring: Mangels offener “Formeln” kann ich hier nur ein paar allgemeine Hinweise geben, ich selbst habe ein sehr gutes Scoring bei der Schufa. Dabei bin ich selbst (offiziell) nur 2 Mal in 20 Jahren umgezogen. Als Student geht das ganz gut, indem man bei seinen Eltern weiter gemeldet ist und diese Anschrift immer nutzt. Weiterhin habe ich ein Konto (mit Dispo-Kredit), das ich bereits seit 20 Jahren nutze, was sich auch positiv auswirken dürfte. Dazu niemals Zahlungsausfälle, wobei ich – nur zu diesem Zweck! – hin und wieder, so alle 1-2 Jahre, etwas kleineres “auf Raten” kaufe, wobei ich darauf achte, dass hierbei die Schufa informiert wird: Damit bei fertiger Abzahlung die Schufa über die problemlose Abwicklung informiert wird. Auch das müsste das Scoring anheben; jedenfalls hat mir meine Hausbank bestätigt, dass ich ein “Traumscoring” hätte. Und natürlich: Einmal jährlich wird eine Schufa-Auskunft eingeholt und kontrolliert. ”

ich denke auch, dass "seo" nur ein Euphemismus für google-Spam ist. Das Verhältnis von Trittbrettfahrern/Idioten und perverser Art von "seo" zu Leuten, die in "seo" die technischen Wege zur Webseitenoptimierung sehen ist leider zu eindeutig.
